One year and going strong... and at one point he got the most diggs I've ever seen (over 1900) for a single comment. And this is the first I've heard of this. And penguins have a gland above their eyes that filters salt out of seawater.
I read this as "Palin gives up" and got really excited for a second....

Death would be too good for him..
If you could ignore that ad then I have to say you have some amazing powers of ignorance. In any regards the need to commercialize doesn't give you carte blanche to entirely ignore what you are community is saying. It also amazes me that people think that I have to take whatever a company foists upon me in their attempt to commercialize. This site needs a community or they won't have to worry paying for anything. Like everything else there is a balance to be maintained I wouldn't expect some ***** who tells the community to die in a fire to understand the subtleties of the balance between business and the consumer. Web sites must never forget that they are in a vicious competition for eyeballs. Things like the Dragon Age ad can, over time begin to drive eyeballs elsewhere.!

Yet a couple more reasons why Valve is one of the best. Their games are basically immortal and they have proved that by letting gamers do what they want with their games, they can still be successful. I'm glad they, as a company, encourage their players to mod, alter, make maps, and whatever else to their games! *cough* MW2 *cough* In a way it helps to keep their games fresh to an ever evolving gaming market.?
Do you have a learning difficulty? |

If you're afraid of God's wrath, that's generally lumped into morality. Or fear of punishment? Hey, it works for both, how convenient!

Link to image's infopage, which is where the submitter should have linked us to:http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:San_francis ...This photograph was taken and uploaded by Mila Zinkova, whose work has been front-paged on Digg at least a half-dozen times that I've noticed, and each time that I've seen it, the submitter did not attribute her for her work. You may recognize some of her photos here (click on thumbnails to see more images):http://home.comcast.net/%7Emilazinkova/Fogshadow.h ... She's a wonderfully talented photographer who works tirelessly behind the scenes to make beautiful images like this one available for use on Wikipedia and for any other project, and it's sad that submitters often do not acknowledge the people who make all of this possible, even when direct attribution is easy to do.Fellow diggers: Please give the volunteers over at Wikimedia Commons credit for their work. Full disclosure: I've donated, categorized, geotagged, and annotated more than a hundred of my own photographs and I have multiple thousands of page edits on Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, so I know the amount of time, effort, and love that goes into this sort of thing. We license our work freely so that everyone can enjoy it, learn from it, build upon it, and distribute it however they wish; we really only ask in return that people not treat it as faceless, anonymous content, since we're real people who simply decided to make our efforts available to the world for the greater good rather than trying to monetize it.
