Bailing out the AIGs of the world had two general effects.One, to stop the financial house of cards from crashing the rest of the world's economy around it.Two, to keep existing world trade and construction projects that depended on borrowed money going.Oh. Thats actually two ways ot saying the same thing.Never mind.PS. It also enabled the CEOs to get bonuses for sucking in the governments of the world who did similar bailouts.So there are two effects after all!
havent seen star trek, but am not a fan of the series, so i will probably not see it. have not seen the transformers sequel, but the first one really surprised me. i thought it was going to be *****, but it was a pretty damn good movie. have not seen GI Joe, but it did not seem to do so well in the theaters, and Batman Begins as well as The Dark Knight kicked ***** ass. I was not really a fan of Batman or comics for that matter, but i saw The Dark Knight three times in the theater and another 3 times on DVD. and have seen Batman Begins about 5 times on DVD. Chris Nolan knows what the ***** he is doing.

I would say this is why the food shelters and pantries are left bareThe demand has increased and the lost of jobs increased,Bills increased ,taxes increased,food cost risingNow it is not only the truly poor that are using them.More people are even raising gardens to get food and farmers are being encouraged to donateto providing for food programs and get intensives and money.I believe this is a good idea,More power to our farmers..

I'm going to have to disagree. I feel like the problem is not the ability to afford quality food but rather the knowledge of how to make quality food. You can serve a family of four spaghetti for way less then four meals at McDonald's and its much much healthier.I would say that lack of education is the number one cause of obesity and malnutrition in America. A lot of families don't know how to cook healthy meals or shop for deals at the grocery store or manage their money in general. All of this leads them to spend more money and poor quality food. The other part is that I sincerely believe that a lot of Americans are just too stinkin lazy to plan for and make a meal for their family three times a day. It's much easier to get fast food. |
