I used to think the same way, then I realized two things: 1. I hate paying full-price for a CD when I only like one or two songs on it, and;2. Even though they aren't that big, CD's take up space. Most young 'uns aren't all that concerned about space unless they're in a dorm room, but when you're at an age where you're trying to simplify and downsize, every square inch of real estate is valuable. All that plastic isn't very green, either, if you want to get all 'crunchy' and make an environmental argument. Not trying to convert anyone, these are just my reasons for going digital in my 40's..
The first thing I thought when I saw the title was "this must be because of that clown zombie in L4D2".Apparently I was wrong.!

you're 100% right-I tried dumbing it down but ended up making it wrong altogether?
It's funny how some of the Newspaper sites have resorted to what I'd call 'irrelevant news,' you know the lolcat stories and the stupid trivia in order to steer traffic from digg, and also the fact that they actually come here for their own news. I can pick up a copy of The Metro or The Standard Light on any day of the week in central London and it's like, " Read this on digg two days ago, saw that on digg last week, read that on digg last night." There is no doubt that they come this way for content. No doubt at all. I've even noticed a few stories front page on digg, then a few days later appear in 'The Metro' and then a day later get re-submitted to Digg as a 'Metro' Story. It's interesting to watch. |

Keep in mind this "trillion" dollar number is spread over 25 years. Spread a program over enough years and you can make any expense sound scary. Cut funding for NASA? ELIMINATING NASA wouldn't even make a dent! NASAs current budget is 18.8 billion dollars; they're asking for several more each year. The latest figures for the 2010 federal budget show 3.5 Trillion. That's 0.005% of the entire federal budget! There are much, much bigger fish to fry if we're serious about controlling spending. Sadly, politics will win out and NASA funding will be cut just so the administration can claim that they're "controlling spending" while doing nothing substantive other than harming a mission to Mars.

All they needed to do was add those little legs to the "X" in "Xmas."
