| Nope, it's not fake. It's Canadian. Here in Canada, we have this nifty stuff called Homogenized milk. If you remember your chemistry days, a homogeneous mixture is one in which the constituent particles are distributed uniformly throughout the solution.Milk can be considered to be almost like an oil and water solution, and will separate into its components if left alone. Homogenized milk gets around this by running the milk through little tubes during or after the pasteurization process. The fat molecules end up being broken up / reduced in size and are distributed more uniformly throughout the mixture. You end up with milk that doesn't separate into layers. Here in Canada, it's often abbreviated as "***** milk" on carton / bag labels. But nobody actually *asks* for ***** milk at a store. They'll ask for 1%, 2%, whole milk, etc.Because actually asking for "***** milk" would sound ... gay. |

Academia: costs money.Business: gets you money.
Because the Onion and the Register are both satirical fake news sites.

“It does not even define "had to eat less." Less than what, the day before? subsistence level? three pizzas at a sitting? People are getting so fat we have special carts to haul their asses around wal-mart. I have never read a story about an American being found dead because they could not get food.More "let's trash the USA" liberal journalistic BS

Healthcare could not be a more appropriate cause for "promoting the general welfare" of the US. With that sentence in the preamble, the constitution recognizes that the federal government may be best suited to provide for some elements of general welfare, and therefore delegates the power to the federal government. There is no 10th amendment violation. As far as requiring insurance, remember this: We can not turn a person away from a hospital for coverage. Therefore, if someone with no money and no insurance seeks care, it can not be refused. The cost of that treatment is borne by the hospital, and passed on in the form of higher prices for those with insurance. Nobody has given permission for this taking of property, therefore, our end result is theft from everyone else who pays for medical treatment. One could argue, then, that we should turn away poor people for treatment. This is a horrible and cruel view. As long as treatment can not be refused, and as long as said treatment should not be stolen from hospitals and those that pay for treatment, the balance between one's right to make their own decisions about insurance and the right of those paying for treatment to be free from theft is tipped in the favor of requiring insurance. You do not have a right to rely on others to pay for your inevitable care if you have the ability to do so yourself. If you do not, then help should be available. Emoluments Clause:In December of 2009, prior to becoming Secretary of State, the salary was reduced to pre-vote levels by congress. As there is now no raise in pay, there is no violation of the emolument clause. But then again, you probably knew that. If you didn't, I would check on your news sources to see why that was conveniently left out.Any more "violations" of the constitution you'd care to share??

Absolutely, there's a class of people who've lined up to buy every anti-iphone to date. Whether the HTC Touch, Droid, Blackberry Storm, or Pre. Too many of my coworkers show up every three months with a new phone that's the "iphone killer of the moment". At this point I wish they'd either, commit or buy the damn iPhone and be done with it. I hear a lot about the Cult of Mac, but honestly I think the Apple haters are just as vocal.

As a student at WSU, this report that appeared in our paper is very tame compared to what I actually saw on campus. At least 2 more cases of people breaking windows and running from angry homeowners, saw a drunk guy trying to start a fight with a Mormon kid trying to hand out anti drinking pamphlets, and many more people passed out on lawns.
