"The comment was specifically about the appstore and developers, don't conflate it into anything else."Stores decide the products that sit on their shelves every day. It's Apple's app store, and the iPhone only has 17% of the smartphone market. That's not even close to being a monopoly.
There is no limit for CREATIVITY...

Leave it to Forbes to shill for the Republicans, and leave it to unthinking anti-tax libertarians to swallow it whole. A women who pays for health insurance, whether that's private health insurance or the public health insurance option being considered under the reforms, should not be restricted in her choice of legal medical procedures. Why are the people who love to chant no government interference so eager to have the government intervene to force women to carry unwanted pregnancies and thereby deny them basic control over their own body and future??
China does get it. They are putting Chinese interests ahead of American interests. |

Right now, Americans are good at theoretical and applied science, but America doesn't know what to do with it. America does develop new things, but they are manufactured in other countries, including China. The things that are invented in America aren't developed in America.

I've worked in a clinical setting for about 5 years, but only at academic centers. Academic centers generally don't care about insurance status. The only time insurance status is an issue is when I need to discharge someone from the hospital, and the social workers are unable to send them to rehabilitation or obtain a home nurse to ease the transition for a few weeks. Generally speaking, when I see a consultation in the ER, or prepare them for the OR, I don't even know what their insurance status is.I realize this is probably different than a private hospital. I have been on the receiving end of hospital transfer requests from private community hospitals for patients who are uninsured, so I don't doubt that some of this suboptimal treatment goes on.Just wanted to say that not all hospitals are coldly calculating and cruel towards the uninsured as mentioned by janibrat.

Why the HP hate?A. You are a christian zelotB. You really hate the idea of kids reading againC. Your way to "mature" and adult to even consider a "kids book" having any valueD. You haven't read themWeather you like the books yourself or not, you have to admit that the fact that there was something to get kids to actually READ and ENJOY a book on there own is commendable enough to give them a spot on the list. |
