The US has rule of law and due process; China doesn't even allow its own criminology/criminal justice students to study its own system, thus they come to our schools. We have like 15 phd candidates from China, and they can't actually study China for their theses because there's simply no reputable or consistent data from the government. Slam the US all you want, it's one of maybe only 20 countries in the world that has rule of law and one of even fewer that allows very open access for research and scrutiny (thus giving critics more ammunition).Have fun believing in the official crime/recidivism rates of a one-party control-freak government, though....
