I've always thought that the "American accent" was simply a lack of "British accent". I base this on how British actors can completely, convincingly convey American speech, whereas when an American actor portrays a British character it's never quite perfect. Ask yourself how many times you've been surprised to learn that an actor was actually British (or in this case, Australian) after hearing them speak as an American. Probably more times than the reverse, I'd bet.
That is the world I want to live in.

New York City is just a giant amusement park and I have serious doubts about its future. There has GOT to be a serious brain drain in the place because it seems like all the college grads of real substance are going to work on Long Island or in the new tech companies upstate along the Hudson Valley where you get the same pay but have like 1/10th the cost of living..

I was under the impression that, unlike wine, whiskey does not get better with age.?
I'm a gamer and I've never felt the need to use Wine in Ubuntu...at least for games since it usually doesn't work very well. I guess there was a time, way back when I started using Ubuntu (6.06) that the nVidia drivers worked great in Linux so I was able to play a certain few games really well in Wine, but ever since Windows has outperformed it so I just game in Windows. I do often use Wine to run a few Windows only apps though, mainly uTorrent and Realterm (a serial terminal, useful for microcontroller programming) since there are no Linux versions. |

This weeks ep was meh alright. Last year's season so far had a lot more better episodes than this years. There are funny parts in almost every episode, but not AS enjoyable as last years was.
