I'm also instantly thinking MechWarrior 2 when I see MW2 and every time I keep hoping that MW2 is making some sort of comeback or re-release or something. They should really be calling it CoD:MW2 just to avoid confusion.MW2 is, and always will be, MechWarrior 2.Right now, I'm just waiting for the free release of MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries by mektek.net to get my C-Bill fix.
Blistering barnacles!

“I have never had an issue with UPS until just recently. I guess that I should just have things sent to my work, because they sure as hell will not leave a package at my house. Frustrating!

You know you're always on solid ground when your post starts, "Not defending the Nazis, but...".
By bandying around terms like "micro evolution" and "macro evolution" you're clearly demonstrating your lack of knowledge of the science of evolution. The terms were coined individually by a Russian entomologist and an American botanist in the early 1900's. But by the 1940's scientists has pretty much universally dropped the "micro" and "macro" prefixes as researchers had started discussing evolution in terms of the changes in allele frequencies (changes in forms of a gene) without any mention of the level or timing of change. You'll find very little, if any use of those terms from the 1940's until just the last few years when anti-evolutionists (young Earth creationists, etc) started misusing the terms. The claim that micro evolution is qualitatively different from macro evolution is bogus, as the main difference between the two processes is that one occurs within a few generations, whilst the other takes place over thousands of years. They describe the same process, just over different spans of time. So if you believe in one then you must believe in the other. By saying you believe in one but not the other you're simply contradicting yourself. It's as if you claim you believe that planting an acorn in the ground will sprout a seedling but you don't believe that in 100 years it'll be a massive oak tree.!

Lost Boys line is best ending ever. They wrote and produced a whole fricking movie just to set up that line. Love it.

This is not going to happen. Capturing and recycling heat is a nice idea in theory, but in a world where all technologies are getting smaller and smaller, this would ad: more weight, more hardware, and more cost for a mostly marginal improvement in efficiency. Any solution with moving parts would also leave a lot of room for breakdowns and wear and tear. I can see the concept being used in a car, but again, it adds too much hardware for only a marginal gain. If we're really moving to electric vehicles we're already going to be dealing with massive and heavy car batteries. |
