The piratebay search engine/website is still up. The piratebay tracker was taken down because it's no longer needed. Instead of using the tracker, DHT and PEX are used to download torrents which most bittorrent clients support.The decision wasn't due to any pressure from the MPAA; it was so that thepiratebay could move from an obsolete technology to a new more decentralized technology (which is harder for the MPAA to control).

If you remember your chemistry days, a homogeneous mixture is one in which the constituent particles are distributed uniformly throughout the solution.Milk can be considered to be almost like an oil and water solution, and will separate into its components if left alone.
