What about Dale Earnhardt? The headline doesn't actually say athlete, so I think he counts.

“There are a few options:1) The could adopt a smaller rotation window. Units deploy for 6 months at a time with a 3 month draw down. The downside is it's more costly. But it's far less stressful on the people you depend on.2) Scale back operations. With Obama dithering on what the mission actually is, do we really need so many people deployed?3) Increase incentives for people to join. It's far easier on the people if they have a larger pool to pull from.4) Increase incentives for re-enlistment. Soldiers needs a REASON to be put through the ringer time and again. Soldiers with a deployment history in good standing who choose to reenlist should receive something meaningful. Whether that's an extra allotment, mortgage assistance, setting up some sort of trust fund for their kids, SOMETHING.

USA has some of the lowest gas prices in the industrialized world..
so let me see here the gov wanted everyone to have a house so they meddled in the market which in a way led to wall street speculating on the cash cow of home ownership because everyone would own a home and if anything went wrong gov would bail them out. then everything went bust cause low and behold not everyone could afford to maintain home ownership. now we have that everyone must have health insurance so how could that play out? well cash cow for insurance companies cause everyone must have it, higher taxes, one way or another so gov is covered, end americans bankrupt from paying fines, no jobs, no homes,no stocks or money in the bank cause many lost huge sums in melt down, no medicare, social security, and massive foreign debt with interest yet. guess that probably pretty well sums it up oh and of course the gov will not be to blame. my question when will we realize there are no free rides in life and if you do get a free ride beware of where it takes you!

Gotta love this state. Unmatched beauty of landsacpe. Home of Bigfoot. Home of Chewbacca???Are we really sure it was Chewbacca and not Bigfoot who was first taunted by the women about being fed Beef Jerky? It gets really dark out here at night and Bigfoot really likes his jerky and there is a slight physical resemblance. Mistaken identity imo. The defense rests.?
He means they have irony (defn: "made of iron", as in strong as steel) balls for going up against Microsoft. |

Michael Jordan's impact on basketball cannot be denied. However, I don't put him in the same category as Jackie Robinson, Jesse Owens, or Muhammad Ali as far as impacting the world outside of his sport. |
