Scott -I'm totally with you, except for the tone around "the government allows and encourages"...Corn is a huge industry in the US. There are a lot of good people who rely on that income to feed their family...which I'm sure isn't news to you. ...But the government isn't subsidising corn because they want ***** food at McDonalds to cost more than something healthy. The problem is nowhere near that simplistic - and hidden in its complexity is why the controversy exists. If you kill subsidies to corn, you screw up one of the largest industries in the US. Subsidising potatoes or salads just so people have healthy food is not a good idea because those products aren't as useful as corn.That being said, it's a problem... and a huge one. (See what I did there? Huge one? Like... fat? Har har.)

“"Proprietary"... lolwut?Last I checked we had access to the source, and could compile our own builds as we liked. Carriers just choose to lock their users out on their own phones running the OS, which Google doesn't have much say in.

Toshiba laptop. Got it December 07. Only problem with it is that I was cleaning my keyboard and lost the left arrow key. Put it through 5-6 OS changes, been dropping it occasionally. I've put this thing through hell and it still runs like the day I bought it.!
