| Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Look, Mr. Scott, I'd love to explain everything to you. But the captain wants this spectrographic analysis done by 1300 hours.Scotty: [thinks about it some time] You mind a little advice? Starfleet captains are like children. They want everything right now and they want it their way. But the secret is to give them only what they need, not what they want.Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Yeah. Well, I told the captain I'd have this analysis done in an hour.Scotty: How long would it really take?Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: [annoyed] An hour!Scotty: [looks unbelieving] Oh. You didn't tell him how long it would REALLY take, did you?Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Of course I did.Scotty: Oh, laddie. You've got a lot to learn if you want people to think of you as a miracle worker. |

I've never bought a collector edition game, had one bought for me, once. Crysis. It came with a DVD with some special features like the makings of and some art, etc. and a CD of the music from the game, which wasn't too bad, as well as an in-game APC (which I don't think they ever made useable) and a nice artbook showing some concept art other illustrations. An extra hour or two of interesting content, and cheaper than a movie. Not too bad for the extra $10, especially seeing as I didn't pay for it.They should note the difference between the smaller limited editions and the larger limited editions in the article. The nice metal case and maybe an extra disc and some concept art versus the big fancy treasure chests, NVGs and displayable statues. The latter, which I think aren't really worth it. As much as I'd love to perch that stuff in bookcases around my home, eventually it's going to get old and dusty and get thrown away. Nice use of that extra $100 or so.
Another win for the Muslims living there!!

That blows..
http://blog.digg.com/?p=1106"How does it work? Digg Trends identifies and highlights upcoming stories that have a high volume of activity (think Diggs, comments, favorites, shares, etc.). When we detect a new trending story, it will appear on the homepage for ten minutes."Submitted 1 day ago, 6 diggs, 2 comment = high volume of activity? Looks like this needs some more work Digg.!

Oooh, I got a Welch's Grape commercial!?
Yeah, but then you'd be tied to the amount of traffic you had to send and that would lead to front page content that didn't necessarily get there by being voted on by the users.Actually... wait. |

@candorny"For prices to change, there need only be a shift in ONE of the two parts."DUDE. Actually, for prices to change all the CEO has to do is make a phone call, DUDE. They can do whatever they want with the prices, DUDE. The market will react, DUDE. And the market is going to react negatively when they are increasing prices with no reason other than greed, DUDE. Because we all know that money isn't going to the artists, DUDE.In case you haven't noticed, more and more markets are becoming digital. Music was one of the first to go - dragging the RIAA along with it, kicking and screaming. They are trying to assimilate themselves now, but they just don't get it, still. They are still trying to treat digital music like a PHYSICAL commodity. It is not, obviously. Digital commodities do not adhere to the same rules as other commodities effected by supply and demand, like oil. But the RIAA would have you believe so. So tell me, what is warranting this price increase, DUDE?Ask your economics teacher. Or your mom. They might be able to put it in terms you can comprehend. DUDE.

"An on-board security team repelled the attack by using evasive maneuvers, small-arms fire and a Long Range Acoustic Device" According to the article this all happened at about 300 yards. I think a couple of snipers with 50 calibers would make more sense. Scaring them away is ok I guess but eliminating them so they can't try it again would be more effective.
