FTA"...the Iranian embassy in London attacked the philosophy scholarship as "politically motivated," linking it to claims that Britain was behind violence in Iran."Yeah sure... the British killed her.<<eye roll>>"Paul Madden, provost of Queen's, said the decision to name the scholarship -- which is offered primarily to students of Iranian nationality or extraction -- was made by the donor who funded it."HAHA!! Suck it like Trabeck, Iran!!
So one bad marketing campaign should doom an entire industry? While I agree with your position on alternative energy, citing poor anecdotes from 50 years ago is a very weak argument.

“Why do people who have no idea what Goth or punk scenes are like constantly calling every thing wearing black in the 80's goth punk? Gaimen just made Death pale to match Dream and he was pale because the first line he wrote was "a man, young, pale and naked, imprisoned in a tiny cell, waiting until his captors passed away [...] deathly thin, with long dark hair, and strange eyes." Death is a wise-crackin realist and Dream...is complicated. Besides she appeared in 1989 which makes her fan base somewhere between the 2600-SNES generation.

I just figured it was because Brits were better at doing accents than Americans (or maybe just try harder). Also, it's idiotic to say that Americans don't have accents. Get a Texan, Bostontonian (I don't know the word for people from Boston), Bronx resident, and a Californian in the same room. They all have distinct accents..
love that lightbulb fire thingy picture!

‘Second Life’ I'd forgotten about that, what a complete waste of time that was. |
