“FTC:"Posted by JAMarch | 11/17/09 07:12 PM ESTI find it odd that, Mr. Licther, would try and act as if he is being nobel and forthright with his disclosure of having had been a FOX News contributor... Yet, fails to state in the " Fair & Balanced" article how he is also the founding member of the "Independent" watchdog media group he bases his writings on. A group who's donations, come from a mostly conservative set of backers. Odd... No..?A little background history of the CMPA is called for. Check for yourself.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Media_an ...

The reality is that American financial regulation sucks ass. The SEC and Wall Street have a revolving door of employment - you work on wall st, then you work as a regulator for the SEC, then back to wall st, and so on.No American regulator will ever slap down a wall st firm - because it will hurt their future employment, when the next administration comes to power, and they leave the SEC and go back to Wall St.Do you Geithner is going to regulate Wall St? Why would he do that? He knows Obama won't be in power for ever - he will eventually be seeking a job on wall st again - he would have to work against his own future interests if he were to really regulate Wall St.The SEC in America is a sham governmental organization..
Modern man is capable of better designs today but every modern Engineer will tell you that they are constrained by cost. Want to make those buildings/drains last for a thousand years? It's going to cost you and the process was different in Roman times.Price is a huge factor when a city decides which bid to accept on a project. And if you belong to the company with the winning bid they will try to maximize profit while meeting the terms of the contract but of course they won't be going overboard just to see how long their design will last...!

I love how everybody they attack is very old, very young, and all severely outnumbered. Not to mention every one was essentially a sucker punch. If these kids think they are tough, they should enter in MMA. Spread this video around, lets make sure all these little ***** heads see justice.?

Is it any coincidence that the works entering into the public domain have been delayed for more than 80 years? Not just in America, but in many countries in the world which America pressures into matching its copyright terms. |
