When did journalism become "harrassing celebrities?"
This was a lot more entertaining.

Either the bride is a world champion boxer / MMA fighter or this is fake. If my nose got hit that hard for it to bleed like that, I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face. She was way too calm when she was dabbing that blood off her face.?
I do blame greed. The greedy corporations and the rich CEOs that rake in 1/3rd of all the pay in the country. I'm a blue collar guy, and I have sacrificed my entire working life to live within my means. But when real wages are declining and jobs are disappearing so a corporation can rake in a few extra tenths of a percent, something is seriously wrong with this country. |

Obama gave us the largest unemployment numbers in 27 years? He must be very efficient to have tanked the economy within about 3 days of being elected!

You are making one giant mistake, and I know, it is very hard to see what is really happening. What is the singlemost unifying trend in the last century, which is becoming more overwhelming and changing out lives more every year? Look closely and you will see - it is the gradual devaluation of human labour. Humans used to be pretty valuable, just afterr WW2, and we had a brief era of voter empowerment, but as we have so clearly seen - most of the world, especially the part that matters, is no longer subject to any kind of democratic control. While americans are literally starting to starve for lack of money, trillions of dollars are being printed into existence. In effect humans are becoming a end consideration - in mere years what counts is technology, energy sources and material resources. And not long after it will be just technology. If you don't believe me, read up on what nanotechnology and robotics stand to do to our societies in mere years.Rifkin, for all his idiotic blunders, had it right in "end of work". But the true picture she should have seen, was "the end of workers". Pretty soon all those billions of people will make not a iota of difference - those in control can develop, manufacture and consume pretty much anything consume whatever they want, without having to employ or even listen to all these voters. That will be the end of democracy, overnight.China nor the US have any shred of expectation in this regard - they know where this end game is headed, the question is only who the players will be holding the highest cards, and you can bet it sure as hell will not be the people on digg.

Or, look at it this way:Who is more likely to go to a GP at the first sign of trouble, the insured, or the uninsured? The insured, of course. Now, how many of those uninsured who arrive at the ER die from a problem that could have been caught early on if they could afford to visit a general practitioner? That's where the real difference in the adjusted data can be found.

It was just a homework assignment: If I pay you x amount of dollars to kill someone, how many years will I get in jail? Or maybe: If train A leaves the station and 3pm and train B leaves at 4pm, how much money do you want to tie Billy to the tracks? |
